speaker exchange did some old advent speakers for the stereo at the house a while back 20 bucks each and they sound great still that was 6 years ago
not sure if doing car audio speakers would be the exact same but if it is than bam there you go

What are these speakers worth? speaker exchange is the only place i can seem to find locally and it will be $100 to repair both. i already have 2 12" subs so these just sit around, id fix them if i knew i could get more than 100 for them.

The surrounds look fine - that foam doesnt have anything to do with the sub surround, its for sealing the sub inverted. Put some grills over the foam part and sell those bitches.

klinda what i thought, they worked great and still work id hooked up. its just that surround that is nasty i can get then fixed and have a total of 117 invested, but that seems kinda high to me for 2 10's een though they are w7's. ive seen the surround kits online for about 20 each..so if im daring i could pay 40 for the kit and fix it myself, but if i screw up.....

I would give the kits on ebay a try - you cant really mess them up, they are like patches that you put on.

50 bucks each and from what i've been told about car audio subs thats with no guarantee its going to sound as good as it did before the rot happened...and dam thats a lot more than i paid years back. if u decide to toss them to the trash shoot me pm i'll pick em up from you, and take a shot at fixing them. i think i have one of those ebay type kits in the garage i pickedup many moons ago to try to do a set of 10s with

update, i went to the speaker exchange and got 2 surrounds and glue. i did it myself. in the end i was blown away how great they sound, there alot louder than my 2 12" in a band pass box.

Looks really nice, you did a good job with the repair.
I hope those mids are in a sealed chamber totally isolated from the subs - else
you are gonna have some blown mids and crappy bass.
They dont look as pretty as new but sure as hell dont look like trash in those first pics!
Hopefully you didn't cheap on the glue and those suckers stick.
Overall, cool success story!
+1 on what dalton said, that box looks scary no matter what, why do you even have speakers back there? that cant sound too good.

it actually sounds really good, the 4-6.5's face into the car on one amp on high pass and the 2-10's facing rearward sound surprisingly good.
