Hey all i'm going to be coming to the Tampa area in April. I currently live in West Palm Beach. Me and my Mom and Brothers are thinking of moving up there, but i need to know some good areas such as good neighborhoods, and which areas to stay far far far away from. we will probably be looking at the suburbs around tampa and not the city itself. The main reason that we are looking at leaving WPB is due to the fact the city is being over run by crime and becoming very over crowded. It seems as though Miami is moving up and just getting way too big for us. Now i know that Tampa is a BIG city but is there any areas that aren't? We will be looking for some of the new housing developments. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

a friend of mine lives near waters and dale mabrey. its tampa, but where he is located is a nice subdivision. he lives on a street called del prado, or del prago, or something like that, little gated neighborhood.

also, lutz, right outside of tampa, is a nice area, from what ive seen anyways. then spring hill, land-o-lakes, brandon, those are nice areas.

largo blows.

Look in the West Chase area.. or Citrus Park. Very nice, new, clean places.

riverview great area. friendly people too... south st. pete. bad area. you leave so much as a candy bar on the seat and it'll be gone in less then 10 mins. although the area downtown and the pier are better... cops actually pay attention.. welcome to pinellas.

ok folks i do appreciate the offers with houses but i have never been there and may hate tampa so we are just going to be looking at new homes in the area, such as pulte and kb homes.
