hey guys,

i have a 16v 4ag corolla gts converted. ive got the car running and idling decently...it still bumps around 800-1200 rpms occasionally because i need to time the dizzy and tinker with the TPS. so, the car idles fine. here's the problem:

the car WILL NOT rev. it's like my AFM is completely not there, but it is...or its like i have a gigantron vacuum leak, but i dont. when i tap the throttle, itll just blip to about 3,500 ish, then go back to idle...even if im holding down the throttle.

here's some background:

KA24DE fuel pump & new fuel filter
SR5 gas tank w/ replaced lines
starts up awesome
no check engine light when the car is on
full coolant...small leak on the coolant inlet in the throttlebody because i ran out of clamps
blocked EGR
and im out of things to tell you.

gimme some suggestions

mine did the same thing when my fuel pump went bad. i could start it it would run, idle funny(which it allways has) but then when i would give it gas, nothing, it would wanna bog down, u know.
no vac leak around the pluged egr?
good luck with the problem!

i highly doubt there's a vac leak by the blocked egr...copper sprayed, replacement gasket, and jbweld x 20...but im AzN, so i donno

and the fuel pump...ive tested it out of the car and in the car. it shoots out a healthy stream of fuel.

off topic, how is your corolla doing?

honestly, a good stream out of the car doesnt mean while its hooked up the pressure isnt causing the pump to fail.

Didja check fuel pressure?

nope, i havent checked the psi yet. ill pick up a gauge and check it out, but other suggestions are still welcomed.

and the lines definately arent clogged because i tested the pump in the tank and it shot out of my engine bay via supply line. just throwing it out there

Maby MAF not compensating. If not that then try and check your connections to your TVIS, thats about the time when it kicks on.

take pics of the throttle body area, around the filter and below to the right of the throttle body.
