Dude don't swap a 1J or 2J in there. Keep the 1UZ and either turbo that or sell it and get a 300. I was in the same boat as you back when I had my SC4. It's way more cost effective to sell the 400 and find yourself a nice 300, everyone I talked to told me that. I know Eric(aka Cowboy Bebop) makes an adapter plate that will fit the V160, R154, or W58. I'm sure Kirk knows how to get ahold of him. Either way, GL with whatever way you go!

As easy as it seems to just bolt on turbo's to the 1UZ, nobody has stepped up to the plate to do it. Until then it is still more common to just stick with a 2JZ (GE or GTE) or a 1JZ swap as its more practical. I personally would love to see a TT 1UZ.

I really want a 5sp. so im trying to look for a quote for that. the auto in the sc400 is really lame...

Isn't Eric close to finishing his? I can't wait to see what kind of numbers they put out and what kind of crazy spool they produce!

*Edit* - Wasn't that guy on SF like 99% done with his MkIV 1UZ-TT project? I don't know if he was in the US or Aus or something but I could have swore I remember a few video's of it up and running and shit....with like twin GT35R's or GT40R's or something like that....Mmmmmm V8 + GT40R(x2) = 1000+whp and full boost at like 3500rpms!

I agree completely! For some reason the auto in the sc4 sucks the sweat off a dead man's balls. A nice V160 would be the SHIT in there! Then maybe some cams, headers, v-springs/retainers and a few more bolt-ons and that car would get really fun. Everytime I'd go out and try to beat on my 400 I always knew how bad it sucked and how much potential was there. I wanted to just slap on a nice 125-shot and go have some fun. :D

Oh yeah! I forgot all about that guy on the CL site! Good to see he FINALLY got it done. It took him like 2 years IIRC because he had so many issues with different fab guys. Any numbers on it?
