I saw the other thread on this below mine, but i didn't want to cluter up his thread. I just bought a new stereo for my car with a aux jack for my ipod. I was using a fm transmitter and those suck for sound quality. I was told its like a seperate kit or something. I don't know what i need to do to use it. And does it charge my ipod while iam driving or using it in the car?

only if you get a headunit designed for ipods and it specifically says that it does. Otherwise the aux in jack is JUST like if you plugged headphones into it, except instead of going to earbuds the analog audio is transmitted to the stereo receiver and re-transmitted to the speakers. Obviously all these conversions give it a slight loss in audio quality not to mention the quality and length of the cable itself, etc etc. But at least its nothing compared to the FM mods...
