I'll be meeting the Tampa folks at the Hess @ 1030AM.
Tampa folks meet @ the Marathon on 54&Collier at 915AM, KSU @ 930AM.

From the Hess we will be heading to Shamrocks in Floral City for a burger, then back to the Hess.

Anyone is invited on this ride. This is a moderately paced ride that is generally slower in the straightaways and quick in the corners. If you don't know the roads, or if it's your first time out, please take it easy and dont ride over your head. We account for everyone at the end of the road and leave no one behind. Please dont be a squid, (100 on the straightaways, wheelies all over the place) because that can ruin the ride for others. Last but certainly not least, WEAR GEAR!!

So, who's in? I know I can count on the regulars! :crack: :evil2:

Becareful guys this is from TSB

If you are riding north this weekend
Be careful, just got back - police on:

* Ehren Cutoff
* Bellamy Bros
* Hayman
* Spring Lake Hwy

Pretty much everywhere and there was a plane circling too.

We had a good time, but my protocol is SL+20 on straights, then max TEP to max TXP back down to SL+20 until the next turn.

Glossary:

1. SL = posted speed limit
2. TEP = Turn entry point - the spot on the road you tip the bike into a turn
3. TXP = Turn Exit Point - the spot on the road where you are done turning and are bac straight up

Before anyone gets self righteous on me - on average traffic is moving at SL+15. SL+20 keeps you from being a sitting duck.

Dingo, did you see the rider down with a sheet covering him/her?

Brandon

no, i ended up riding with knine's group because everyone from TR backed out... they dont take gobbler... heard about it during lunch.

Apparently the rider washed out on the 2nd to last turn going up to the circle k at the end of gobbler. kind of tight right hander... slid under a truck and got ran over i suppose.

INVERNESS

Motorcyclist dies after collision with truck

A Deltona man died after losing control of his motorcycle, Sunday afternoon, and colliding with an oncoming truck.

Kevin O'Neill, 32, was driving west on East Gobbler Court at about 12:30 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He missed a curve, crossing the eastbound lane and rolling into the path of a Ford truck driven by Harold Weatherly, 50, of Floral City.

O'Neill hit the front of the truck and both vehicles came to a final rest on the south shoulder. Weatherly was uninjured, according to the FHP.

Was it the curve right in front of the bar/restaurant where all the harley guys hang out? That one is pretty tight.

Last time I rode it with you guys I got squirley in one of the corners from some debris that I didn't even see.
