its more of a restriction than anything else, it will actually inhibit the performance of anything you put it on that

Not really, here's a link to a site that makes some here in FL.
thomas knight : turbo upgrades + superchargers (http://www.boosthead.com/home.php)

Except they make more power than most turbo setups at the same PSI....so retarded

Go to West Marine and tell them you want one of their $19.95 bilge blowers. It's exactly the same thing the crooks are selling on eBay.

The E-Bay ones are kinda crappy, they might increase your fuel economy due to the vortex they create, but that's about it :D . The one I linked is the real deal for all you non-believers out there.

Every time somone asks about electric turbos ,,, a kitten dies
Everytime that Escort guy tried to tell us that a fan blowing at a fixed RPM is supposed to match a turbo that spins at what, tens of thousands of RPMs to make any kinda power....?
Every time that happens I lose another brain cell from reading his retarded posts. Don't bother with it, you won't gain any power, especially up top where your motor demands more air and the fan isn't spinning fast enough to provide it.

Hey, I've tried it with an 800cfm electric fan for an R/C airplane. It worked for a while, then the plastic propeller got sucked off the motor and stuck in my throttle body  I don't think it made any difference though, neither would a bilge pump blower, the idea says it's ecnomical, the fact is that the increased electrical load probably negates any type of economy increase you might gain from one of those little jobs.

I thought you where trying to argue the point not agree. Although everything you just said is right.
Also food for thought if anyone really thinks it can work like a turbo.
I dont think any turbo spins slower the 100K, some spin over 200K. I dont know of many common electrical motors that can do that. Anything that can spin close to fast enough would need a lot more then your going to get out of a cars electical system.

Not trying to agree with the e-bay junk, but there's actual electric superchargers and turbos out there that work. That's why I posted the link to the REAL ones ;) .

In your sig, the 118 HP was it being bone stock right???
EsCoRtLvR
02-19-2007, 07:43 PM
 no, bone stock was 88whp on the coastal chassis dyno. 118 was after some exhaust work aand a manual transmission instead of an autotragic.

LOL ahhh 88 huh!!! wow, poor little motor choking to death with that stock exhaust!! pretty good gains for the little mods ya did

the link you posted was to a sorry excuse for a wanna be centrifugal supercharger and they call it a belt driven turbo... that's the definition of a supercharger
onto this electric subject...
Maximum CFM 455 CFM
Maximum Duration 15 seconds
and you have to have extra batteries to push this massive 8hp motor. good luck with that
