2nd. i would bet that i have been to more drag strips in just this past year than you've been to in your whole life! ;)

3rd. only about 1 or 2 out of about 20 rotary's make a complete good pass down the drag strip when they run! :lol: the rest all either hit the wall or tree, or break (and then go all the way down the track like a dumbass to make sure they oil down the whole length of the track lol) and also some of them just raise hell making lots of noise and then pause for a few seconds and then hit the next gear, raising all kindsa hell, then silence for another few seconds, then the same in the next gear, and so on! :lol:

4th. kyle didnt say that the red yang yang spilled oil all down the track! he was talking about how most rotary's oil down the track! FACT! they do blow oil out of their exhaust when they're a rigged up pos like alot of them out there are! ;)

5th. it wasnt the 24th! LMAO it was the 25th! see there ya got that wrong too! lmao :lol:

6th. the red yang yang wasnt even close to being the fastest car out there! :lol: i guess your eyes can only see them rotary's, but yes, there were lots of cars out there sitting by their trailers waiting for everything to start, that were way faster than that noise maker ever hoped to be! oh, and they all go down the track straight too! :lol: well i guess you dont like cars that go down the track right because i noticed how you were bragging about that red noise maker in the other thread, saying how it was sooo cool the way it was all over both lanes of the track! LMAO when cars are set up right, they go straight! all the way down the track!!! our camaro goes straight as an arrow even though it carries the front wheels most of the way down the track! (and it's going close to 200mph at the end!!!) :lol: ;)

Had fun at the track. Lots of people there. The only thing they need to fix out there now is the printer. It sucked that you had to go to the tower to get you slip. I ran 3 times last nite and I could only find one slip. I am glad I has someone looking at the borads(they worked all nite long, thats awesome) Its getting better and better out there.

No I was not in the process of staging the whole time.

The first run I made was a 9.4. Had issues with the nos but got it fixed.
2nd run was an 8.8. coundn't find that ticket but that is what everyone told me I ran that saw the board.
3rd run was an 8.71 @ 82 mph. Only got a 2.0 60ft but this was my first time on those tires. I have to learn to drive the car all over again.

remember how cold it was? the track was prepped good but no cars were runnin on it, and by the time the few cars that did go down it went, the track was gone cause it was so cold. and not only that, the dew was settling on it too! ;) the VHT's only good if the surface is above around 45-50 deg. .

i actually ran tonight!!! i got out of work, drove 30 seconds too the track. pulled right in the staging lanes and ran......completely free due too it being like 10:45, lol. i ran a 10 flat @ 81mph......i know i can get atleast a 9.5. oh and i did the nastiest bumper drag past the 60', lol. i did manage too gobble me a mustang..... im not going too make excuses for my shitty run, cause its been the first real run for me and my car.

I was out there thurs. night I was in the blue rsx, I ran the best of 9.6, with 2.4 60ft, I am traction limited, I need some drag radials. My trap speed is good for a 9.1 or 9 flat, I will be back out one thurs night with some sticky tires. Tired of spinning, then bogging. Thurs. night was nice though, it seems the track is getting its act together.

For the 3rd week in a row a 'rotary" is the fastest car out there :lol: . Not starting shit but plz give them respect for the night. Look at the red starlet ran like 5 times in a row and all were 5 sec runs. also the orange starlet that let off at the 330 but still went trew the traps with a 6.32 with only 60mph. The rotarys where kicking ass 2day. Not trying to start shit. Nice night overall I had fun. Loved that red nova 2 aswell. really clean car.Hope to see everyone back out there next week. The only catch is... What would they trap in the 1/4 mile ? Prob. 149mph :lol: Its a 7sec 1/4mile convertion, but the car prob. run a low 9 in the 1/4mile in a bathtub with a motor bolted on... Friend of mine has a street car that runs 5.0@143mph in the 1/8th, and its 3400LBS. and has pistons :-o

Really the point was more about building a car JUST for the 1/8. No matter how fast it goes, it will never run the same in the 1/4 with its "sling-shot" style drag racing.

BUT, again, THAT rotary gets props, its got great MPH and everything. Wish he'd gear it for the 1/4mile and run it on a day when I'm not there :oops:

They both where made to run 7.5 to 7.4 1/4 mile times.the blue rx7 is a brand new car with about 7 1/8 mile test runs under its belt.Both cars are geared up for the 1/4 mile. They just happend to TnT in lakeland for the simple reason why is the closest track to them and the best hooking one they can find. Look next week they both are going to be in moroso for the nhra sports compact season opener . Lest just wait and see what will their 1/4 mile times will be in that event.

I would love to physically see a rotary run 7's in a 1/4 repeatedly, but because of the other 2 million other rotaries that rev 5 thousand times in the staging lanes, and blow up on the first pass down the track I have little to none respect for them or the driver. IMO I despise rotaries more than ricer's.
Also i guess you never been to a Bradenton Runday Sunday . A ton of 7 sec rotarys go to those and they run over 4 times a day with no problems. I already hate going to runday sundays for the simple fact that About 60% of the v8's there are half ass built cars and are alwasy oiling down the track. Just last week there where about 15 oil spills all from domestic v8's and about 10 sit down periods just waiting for the track crew to get a POS v8 out of the starting line because it broke and couldn't get not even pass the 60foot.Go to Moroso this weekend and you will deff see about 50 rotarys running 7 secs with no problems. Ignorance is a bliss in this country,

The last few times I've been to Lakeland, it's been piston cars leaving their guts on the track, no rotaries, and usually the retards don't have the sense to pull off to the side and they track it all the way down the track.

Also i guess you never been to a Bradenton Runday Sunday . A ton of 7 sec rotarys go to those and they run over 4 times a day with no problems. I already hate going to runday sundays for the simple fact that About 60% of the v8's there are half ass built cars and are alwasy oiling down the track. Just last week there where about 15 oil spills all from domestic v8's and about 10 sit down periods just waiting for the track crew to get a POS v8 out of the starting line because it broke and couldn't get not even pass the 60foot.Go to Moroso this weekend and you will deff see about 50 rotarys running 7 secs with no problems. Yes that did suck. Well after 90 minutes of waiting for them to clean the track I left. I wish I would of gotten there early to get some runs in. Looks like I will have to wait til the TR event on Saturday to run.

I never see rotaries run any heads-up classes except for.........rotary vs rotary. Why?

My experience with rotaries:

The drivers and crew are usually jackasses. They just sit in the car in staging lanes and rev the motor..over..and over..and over. And, no..not when anybody is "looking at" or "checking" anything. Just unnecessary. Rude, IMO.

Crew stands out on the line and JUMPS UP AND DOWN screaming as soon as the car leaves the line. What's so great about the first 5 feet? Then when the car loses, misses a gear, or blows up, the ADHD jumping up and down crew slinks off all stupid looking.

It all adds up to a "look at me" and a "I don't give a shit about anybody but me" attitude.

Drivers can't figure out their transmissions. Can't shift gears.

Cars are pushed off the line about 10-20% of the time.

I know one rotary driver that I actually like. He's one of the few that's not a jackass.

I'll sit here and wait for Sakswinger to cuss me out and tell me to go to an import event. :roll:
