The wires are all different colors..

I got the Switched 12v+ figured, and the ground figured.

It's saying th econstant 12v+ is a blue/yellow wire...And there is no blue/yellow wire. :dunno:

The harness did'nt include a dimmer or illumination wire either.

Help me asap,The wife is getting tired.

Rep for those who return answers. :-)

Thanks fellas.

some cars do not have the dimmer wire.... mine didnt =S

the 12v should be yellow or red sometimes i think... i'll wait till dalton chimes in, he'll know more about skittles than i ever will haha

if you can take pics that'd help tremendously.

It's a 97' Camry. Not a Skittle.

I'm not to worried about the dimmer wire,Mainly the Constant 12V+.

I got a diagram readout,But it says that the constant 12v+ is a blue/yellow wire..Then it says the reg. blue wire is the Right Front (-) and the plain yellow wire is th Left Rear (-)...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

It should be a wire thats slightly beefier than most the other ones.... like i said, take a pic!

Stuff your hand in there and try to pull forward as many wires as you can.

Doesn't sound like exactly the best way to do things, but it'd be fun to watch.

forget those wires, it will take less time to tap the ignition harness for the power/acc, run a new ground, and run speaker wires than to figure out wtf that chopped up harness if it doesn't match the diagram.

old school cut the harness- 5 minutes and i would have it working $20.00

constant SHOULD be blue/yellow, but you're right, its not there, if you have a multimeter, go through each wire and figure out which is constant, the thicker guage solid brown wire will be ground, it is on all toyota's. thats about the best advice i can give, o and make sure your underhood fuse is a-ok

Very good point. With the harness looking like that, the constant could have very well blown the fuse.

a day later and u still havent tapped the ignition wires? you could be done in 15 minutes with a few T-taps and some electrical tape.

Well, it looks like you have 14 wires, and the chart only lists 13...hmm...

Have you tried eliminating all the other colors, and see what's left? I've seen factory harnesses that, for whatever reason, sub'd a color.

A meter is still your best bet, and you could use it to confirm speaker leads (provided there is no amp), but at least this would narrow down the search.
