Hey guys i just bought 2 Kicker Comp 05C124 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-NE5WWNgIVil/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=520&I=2065C124) and im wondering what kind of amp you guys would recommend? Im looking to spend anywhere from 250 to 400...any advice would be awesome thanks
apparently you dont even have a car yet, so why do you want a system yet?
I dunno, there are a bunch of amps that serve many different crowds, it depends on not only how much you want to spend but how well you want it to sound. Given the fact you already started off with kicker.... its safe to say you want a low-to midrange amp. Nothing retarded like flea market stuff but something low brand like boss or power acoustik. level up from that are kicker amps and infinity amps, alpine, RF, and kenwood, pioneer and diamond. You're probably not even going to want JL amps.
I think you'd like an RF, kicker, maybe even a boss amp.... the one i use is about 1k watts rms @ 2ohms and runs very cool.... it uhh is pretty cheap too, i havent even thought of replacing it at all.
although others will chime in saying i suck or whatever.:D

seeing as these are only 150 Watts RMS, you dont need anything big amp wise.
With that said I would go with the following amp
Hifonics BXi 606 - Monoblock amplifier ... (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6521.html)
Im a die hard fan of Hifonics when it comes to amplifiers

I wouldn't say they are going to suck, but lots of people don't like the way they sound. A lot depends on what type of music you listen to, what type of box you have, how much power, etc.
I have a couple other customers serving on active duty...thank you for what you do for us. And I know how tough it can be trying to communicate from wherever you are. If you need help, advice, or just want to bounce ideas off of me, shoot me an email or PM. I usually check both fairly often, and will get back to you quickly in most cases.
If you give me some more info, like what type of music you listen to, and what your budget is, I can also recommend some equipment for you.

Get a Kicker 300.1 or 400.1..they are mono amps and will power them fine. The 300.1 is roughly 350 watts and is $199...the 400.1 is roughly 500 watts and is $299.
