QS&L meet on Thursday nights

Where it is: On 49th Street. Go there on Thursday nights at about 10:00-11:00 at night, which is when it usually starts getting busy. Take your time and bring some friends. Remember the more that show up, the better it will be showing up. And don't be afraid to bring your cars out there just because of some damage, bad paint job, it isn't really tricked out yet, look, it doesn't matter what you're car looks like. Just bring it out there, I mean, that's what it's all about, hanging out with friends and having fun. Hey, you might just meet some new people and make some new friends. yeah there was a big blowup a few months ago. It was major. I stopped going becuase I really didn't feel comfortable anymore. The bar staff started being rude people not giving good customer service. I like QS&L but not on Thursdays. Maybe it has changed never hurts to go by keep us posted.

Last night, I saw a Nissan Skyline R33 there, alot of 240's, some Subarus and many more... It wasn't packed to capacity or anything like that. But it was a little busy.

the place seems to be a pretty good spot, and every body seems to get along really nicely. the worst thing i saw was a guy backed into a neon that some kid had parked where he wasnt supposed to...then the guy drove off after a bunch of yelling and whatnot. other than that, i havnt seen anything at all.

oh and by the way for anyone who doesnt know, its on 49th off of 118th. or US-19 off of 118th. if you go from us19, its behind a hotel. is it a best western? i never payed attention before. anywyas there are signs for quaker steak on US-19, and on 49th its impossible to miss, the only place FULL of green neon lights.

and yeah, about 10:30 everyone starts leaving.

yea the skyline looks nice but kinda slow for being the LEGENDARY SKYLINE haha. yea james neon got backed into but we beat the hell out of the tauros that backed into him so yea haha. Quaker is pretty kool if people make it that.

itll never be like it was. we had the best bartenders every thursday (still see christina occaisionally) and it wasnt so e-thug wiggerish out there. then they did some stupid king of the parking lot bullshit, hired some DJ that played crappy music and never had anything anyone wanted to hear. i go because i've got friends on the wait staff, so i pretty much only go to see them and catch up with a couple other friends.

i never knew any of this, seeing as how i moved down here only about a year ago, but i was talking to one of the guys that work there and he said that they had a lot of car shows there, with DJ's, and prizes and stuff. he said it happened regularly too, but they had to stop because it was bothering everyone at the hotel thats right on US19. that sounded pretty cool, but now i guess they dont do that anymore. i go just to meet up with friends, and to see some of the cars people have.

I don't know I didn't know about QS&L meets until about a month ago. But it sure sounds like it was awesome. Maybe, just maybe, some day everything could return the way it used to be... That would be really cool, and I hope everyone here agrees with me on that one...

it wont, because alot of it was the bartenders outside, sped(chris) and christina...they were cool...now its like an older crowd out there and its just not as fun as it was. they would sit and bullshit with ya but still get with everyone else too...it was more personalized attention IMO.

maybe TR can get some type of deal with QSL about getting big time meets and shows happening again. give it another shot you know? couple weeks ago at bob evans, that was a good turnout. nothing bad happened at all, except for the guys burning out at the end, but that wasnt so bad. and that bob evans is right next to a bunch of condos. if we could do something like that, i think a lot more people would be at qsl, and more people would eat there too.

me and my friends still go out there it died bc of the whole drama thing and they did start with shitty service but it hasnt been like that in a while...now that we all know the security guys there pretty cool with us normal people...they still recognize after 8pm its the tamparacing/import carmeet there on thursday nights....theyve quit all the dj bs so people should come out theres usually a crew of subarus that come out and dsm then the usual 240s and stuff it would be good to see this meet come back to life so if ya got nothing to do on a thursday night come out ! ill be there

probably because they lacked the funds required to supply those things. I mean, just an opinion but I haven't really been going out there for that long or that often now I haven't gone out ther for about 3 weeks now I think it was. But anyways, I hope to get caaught up in going up there again. I hope to see alot of people there. And P.S: QS&L may have screwed up in the past, but think about it for a second. When your friedns screw up, eventually you for give them right? And you may do that hundereds or even thousands of times in your life. And I think you all should give QS&L another chance because they deserve another chance. So....what is it gonna be? You hate QS&L forever and never forgive them? Or you decide to give QS&L one more chance and catch up on the good times you wern't there for? Now....it is time for you to decide...
