Early Spring Trip

Polling if anyone would be interested in a long weekend trip to the N. Georgia mountains for some real twisty riding....

i have access to a 3 bike trailer, so 2 spots would be open on that....

i already have some good places to stay, eat and ride...i plan on making a day trip to the dragon and cherolaha skyway on one of the days, the other day and a half of riding will be around the N. Ga mountains (which are better than the Dragon in my opinion)....

we can share rooms and gas costs and the trip should'nt cost too much...

Do you think that is late enough in the year for the snow to be clear? I don't really know when that stuff clears up. They skyway right now looks purty bad...

I doubt I can make the trip in March. But in the future Sometime Id like to get a small group of 4-6 people to go. I have a place I can get to stay for free at my Bro in laws cabin in Ellijay, Ga.

Id be game, I actully need to take a trip sometime before march as I stil have a weeks worth of vaction and i either use it or loose it. Once my truck is fixed we can haul bikes and a big ass trailer no problem.

Anyways my truck will be good, ordered the new clutch today. My truck will hold 2-3 bikes depending. I dont have a trailer anymore I was pretty much saying we can haul a trailer behind my truck no problem as its a deisel and the mpg is the same regardless.

The more advance notice the better, but I would try and work around any date. Especially if it is just a 4 day weekend or less :nerd:

ok i fugged up and voted for the 22-25, but my daughter has a cheer competition that weekend, i re-vote for 1 - 4!!!!!!

Raul....is that a pay week too???? Riding will be great there at the the beginning of March (see video proof below)....

So can i start plannin for March 1 - 4 ??? I can get rooms set-up (a nice, but cheap spot) after i post up the costs per person....if you wont share a room, then ya gotta pay extra for it...

I could defently do 1-4 Im going to vote now, my truck will be fixed so we can take atleast 2 bikes in that and then if vadar comes we can hook on the trailer if need. That was an awsome vid!!!

I can't do 1-4 I'm out... it's either 8-11 or 22-25 for me...
I chose the later to make sure the snow is gone from the mountains...

Come to think of it... late May and later is best for me, that way my Boys wont miss school since I know my wife will want to see her mom in Clev, TN.

OK....after talking to Brandon today, i got thinkin about mountain riding again....SOOOOOOO......

Im setting this trip up. The dates will be April 20th - April 22nd. Plenty of time for the mountain to warm up and everyone to save their money and make plans!!!!!! IF YOU LOVE TWISTIES....YOU WILL LOVE NORTH GEORGIA!!!!!! I will set-up the motel and get all the info ready and make a new thread for this trip.........if we get 4 or 5 people, we can do this trip for around $120/each depending on dinner food choices and how much gas your bike uses up......SO LETS HEAD FO DA MOUNTAINS....
