ATTN: people with 130db+ systems

I REALLY hope you guys arent assholes with your car audio systems and you follow some "Car Audio Common Courtesies".

Throughout the day while cruising around or doing some high important business traveling, i see too many people who completely ignore these following basic courtesies. I have written a few which i feel are extremely important, but i'd like to hear what you guys think, if you i'm wrong or you would like to add some... please do.


C#1: Please turn down your stereo before entering a quiet residential area after 9PM and before 8AM, we aren't asking to turn it off, just keep it down, most people are trying to sleep during this timeframe.

C#2: At stoplights, don't turn your stereo up extra high, if anything turn it down a bit, then when traffic continues, you can blast it again. This gives a chance for anyone extra sensitive to bass to get away from you, rather than being stuck at a red light with you slamming your car to justin timberlake.

C#3: When at fast food drive throughs, don't turn up your stereo right after talking to the microphone person to order your food so that the people behind you cant hear anything the person taking their order is saying.

C#4: When transporting a group of friends from one place or another or when traveling with anyone else in your car and they recieve a phone call, either pause or mute or turn the volume down so that they can talk to the other person, nothing worse than talking to your grandma while Trick Daddy is rappin about hoes jumpin on his dick.

Anyway, late that night, the neighbor tells us to come outside and watch. He's put up this crazy looking antenna, and starts turning dials on some sort of transmitter. Suddenly, the music just stops. back when i was 16 and had (4) 15's in my truck, I used to do this all the time. Then one day a cop turn's past me and sure as shit he instantly turns around and gets about 3 cars behind me. And what do you know as soon as my light turned green and i took off ( i turned left) he flips on the lights and bust my ass for my music. $71.50 to sit there and be cool at a stop light is not worth that much of a fine. Now I use the common courtesy rule.

I think its really an age thing. I would always blast my systems when I was younger, didnt matter where I was or what time, if I was in my car it was up LOUD. The older I got the more I kept it to a reasonable level, and now I find myself turning it down at stop lights. I by no means mute it or turn it down to where only I can hear it but I do turn it down some.

Opinions are opinions, not rules or regulations. But think about it next time your on your cellphone and someone pulls up blastin you.....

I took into consideration dalton bumps 128 or some other low number, but you can still hear the system a considerable distance away from the car and with his windows rolled up.

I dont really know what 100db sounds like so i just put 130 as a random low number.
