two old ricers(ITR hatch vs SI)
today on my way home from work i see a hooked up black civic SI in the rear view comming up on me pretty quick. happens to me every day, but most people are reving on me in slow rush-hour traffic.
anyway, we were close to my house and the traffic was very light and we got a nice opening to get in a run. he was behind me so i got over to see if he would line up with me, and he does. we were going about 40mph and he took the hit, i hit it and pulled two or three cars past him up to 80mph.
we pull over at the gas station by my house and talk about our cars a little bit. he had an SI with i/h/e and skunk2 stage2 cams with supporting internals. the guy was cool as hell and laid back, no excuses, he was an older honda owner,31 years old. i usually only hang out with the domestic crowd because they are more my age(30). so it was nice to meet another honda older honda owner still rockin a modified car.

This is the internet. You're just supposed to talk up whatever you do know as if you're a salesman for it. i.e. I drive a Supra and a Corolla therefore 2JZ is the greatest and so is the 4A and I don't care about anything else because it's all crap since I don't have it. I also have a stack of $20 bills in front of me, therefore 20>50 and 20>100 and 20>1000. $20 bill FTW.

It wasn't me but I fit that description too... 31yrs. old, Ol'Skool and with a slightly MORE...OK, much more N/A modified Civic HB w/GSR... I respect all domestics since I was raised with em...Ex. 68-69 Mustangs w/427 Cobra Jet, 72 Road Runner, 70's Trans Am w/455, RARE! 1969 Mercury Cougar ELIMINATOR w/427 Cobra Jet motor... and on and on... Gotta love dad! But my funds nor wallet is as deep as his, but my passion for cars is... So, even if my whip is a Civic...(damn teens slap exhaust and stickers in substition spending real $$$ and think they are fast!) Its still one that gets plenty of respect from all. In all... GOOD KILL! MAYBE NEXT TIME...lol!!!

im not up there with u guys yet..im getting there (26) but it is somewhat hard to find someone my age that understands imports and what it takes to do what EVERYONE of us do to the damn little grocery getters...still rockin 88 crx si with stock a6...lol...almost 200,000 on stock motor/trans...gotta love those young ricers that think they are fast with their exhaust
