For those of you that had to work all week and read JDR's posts about riding in great weather, here is your chance to get one last "Saturday" run in of 2006.
:smirk: You know the drill: Same bat time, same bat channel (Marthon @ 9AM, KSU @ 9:30AM) If the past is any indication of the future, I'll be late!

This is typically a moderate paced ride <I would say it feels faster paced if your new to the run> (depending on who's leading).
If you've never been on the North run, then it may be a good idea to check Tampasportbikes.com (http://www.tampasportbikes.com) for a more mild ride to get acquainted with the roads.
I know JDR posts for "experienced" riders only on his rides (both bike and with the roads) because too often people show up and then go down within the first few turns trying to keep up.
I don't want to discourage anyone from going on the rides, rather just set the expecations correctly 1) wear all your gear 2) ride within your limits (leave the ego at home/bike show spots) 3) No squid http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/smilies/squid.gif like manuvers 4) enjoy the ride (no points will be awarded or trophy's at the end of the day)
We're not looking for a quantity of riders, but more of a quality of the ride. :D
If this is the type of ride you are looking for and feel you'd be comfortable doing, come on out! But if you've never been on the run or know where the meet up spot is, then it might be a better idea to a TSB intro to the North Run run.

:w/stupid:
Friday afternoon edit: I'd also like to add to the squid comment, dont pass everyone at 160 in the straights to grab a hand full of brake and do 20 through a corner. Also, on the quantity of riders.. we're not looking to break any records here but at the same time if you know 100 people who aren't idiots and like to ride corners, fuck it, bring 'em out. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Raul, your getting the afair out of order... let me break it down for you:
1) Get oiled up and squeeze into your leathers
2) Make sure you butt cheeks are hanging appropriatley out of the assless chaps (remember proper riding etiquitte)
3) Go spend several hours on a Saturday with just dudes (chicks sometimes invited, but not necessary so long as there are lots of men to hang out with)
4) Take your man buddies out to lunch
5) Take your man buddies out to dinner at the Sawmill
6) Watch the drag queen show
7) Enjoy the Trophy ceramony for the best "drag" of the night!
For any further questions on our usual "bike" activities, see Brandon or Rales! :69::gay:

Brandon
12-30-2006, 05:33 PM
Fucking GREAT!! Even though it was a little wet on the way up it was still a good time. It was nice getting back out with the whole OG Saturday crew! Cecil, great having you out brother, you gotta come out more with us! Big E it was nice meeting you as well. We'll have to do it next week and you might talk me in to going to Ozello with you, however i'll probably drag the rear. I probably would have gone with you guys today if i didnt make dinner plans with my girlfriend. Steve, good to see that you're getting more comfortable on the GSXR. Finally, a big thanks to Nick for busting my balls about yesterday
Looking forward to next weekend guys.

The ride was awesome, after shamrocks 5 of us went ahead and hit Ozello a few times. Overall was a very nice ride.
Cecil

Good times.
Just got home a few minutes ago.
A group of us ventured further north from Shamrock's, to Ozello.
No tickets, No Crashes, No Drama.
Thanks for the great ride.
Cecil

The ride was bad ass!! :headbang:
Got my new tires broken in on the way to Hess (put 100 miles on them) and then got the tires scrubbed in from there on up to Shamrocks ... only a very thin chicken strip on the right hand side of the back tire, which shows I'm more comfortable leaning left than right.
More seat time on Ozello should get me up to speed! :burnout:
Saw some nice looking Mullets up at the Oz Cove:mullet:... competition winning type Mullets!
Good to meet Big E and good to finally meet Cecil. We need to do it again!

Jeremy, it was good riding Ozello with you again, except this time was much better than last time! Hopefully we can continue to improve our average of "no incident" runs at Oz.
Maybe it was the luck of the Mullet? :mullet:
