Just wanted to remind everyone that registration for the 1/7/07 event closes at 11:59:59pm on 12/27/06! PLEASE get over to 2007 Central Florida Solo II Schedule (http://www.cfrsolo2.com/schedule.php) and register yourselves and your guests before then so we don't have anyone get turned away at the gate!

And while you're there, go ahead and register for ALL of the 2007 Brooksville events! It only takes 15 minutes, and you'll be good for the year. :-)

Look forward to seeing you all there!

Thanks for the reminder. :D

Are you actually going to grace us with your presence? :-P

I need to get a ride in your car. :-)

I probably will make my semi-annual appearance at a CFR SCCA event. I may even have a new set of race tires by then. :D

He doesn't like CFR events. Too much competition.

What happened to, "I'm not buying another set of race tires"?

Cool. Hopefully my new suspension bits will be installed by then too. :-o

*Edit* We're over 50 registrants for Sunday! We might be on track to break a Brooksville record! :-D

Yeah. After last season any event I attend where I do not take FTD is now a let down.

There is a slight change in plans for next year. I probably won't move until the end of April. My original plan was to do 3 more local events here in FL before moving in late February. Now I will be running 4 more months of events here in FL. I could finish off another set of v710s in that time. :D

I think they only turn in one list per weekend. Not sure. I didn't sign up for both days...

Also Neal's friend is looking for a co-drive...
I don't see his name on the Brooksville List, so I guess that doesn't help him.

Hi Everyone,

I'm still looking for a car to drive on the 7th. I'm able to go to
either the Ft. Meyers or Brooksville events. If there is anyone out
there going to these events who wouldn't mind a co-driver please let
me know. I'd be happy to provide a little tire money and help any way
possible as a co-driver. Again I really appreciate it and hope to
meet all of you soon.

David

looking for a chance to dodge some cones.

Porsche 914 in STS2. Really nice guy, been autocrossing for a good
number of years (not sure exactly...at least three years), helps out a
lot running our events, attends the local meetings, etc, and a pretty
good driver to boot. Doesn't care what you drive or whether it is
"competitive". He's just looking for an chance to satisfiy his
autocrossing fix in the middle of winter and find out what I've been
talking about when I say the concrete at Ft Myers is pretty incredible.

yeah, if Albert is turning in seperate lists for Sat and Sunday, I'm screwed too. I'm betting on one list per weekend.

I too am looking for a co-drive. I spent the money for fixing the Miata on fixing my motorcycle. See yall out there this weekend.

You're welcome to burn some tires off the NC if you like. It's a whooooole different animal now. :crack:

So those of us who only registered for Sat won't be able to get in the gate Sun?

You should be fine. I seriously doubt there will be two separate lists.

Awesome. I was afraid I was going to miss another event because I wound up having to work Sat.

It was a great kickoff to the 2007 West Coast CFR Solo Season. Saturday saw ten runs a piece with a few new faces that I'm sure we'll be seeing more of. Sunday saw 5 competition runs amid one of the larger turnouts for the Brooksville site. I want to personally thank our crew for showing up and making the event weekend run as smoothly as it did. I'd also like to thank Jason and Charles for generously sharing your toys with me this weekend. I'm still blown away by how good the MX5 is with its new suspension. It's truly a shame that the setup is a not a factory option and thus legal for the stock class. Charles your car is a hoot, the power output of that motor is just too good for words, (I do hate the traction control though :)).

Thanks again to all that came out and played with us this weekend, we had a lot of fun.

As much as you do for autocrossing in our area, I'm just glad to get an opportunity to help you out in some way. Besides, the trade off was more than fair since you offered so much driving instruction. Hopefully, I'm on my way to adopting a less conservative driving style.

i discovered a bone stock s2000 is much more fun than my subaru but by far the coolest part of the day was getting the dad hooked on autox:lol:

Nobody was more surprised than me how well it did! I was expecting an incremental improvement, but it was like a totally different car!

With all the rain, I think you got more dry runs in the car than I did for the weekend, heh.

Big thanks to everyone for a fun event!
