well we had some tough breaks at the snowbirds! but i was wondering how everyone else did? hopefullythings went good for eveyone else from tr that was running! :)
as for our car, we didnt get a chance to really test before going to bradenton. we had just changed the rear end gear, and the clutch needed to be fine tuned, but friday eve. matt got to make a test pass, and somehow the throttle linkage was messed up and only opened about 3/4 throttle. after getting that all worked out, matt took the clutch all apart to make sure everything was ok. after the first test pass on sat, the read out said the clutch was great, and matt said the car was running better than it ever has. but durring the next pass, the vac. pump belt broke and caused the oil pump belt to come off, and even though he shut it down, it still spun some bearings! :( since our engine builder (lennart from autoshop racing engines)just passed away last month, now it's gonna be rough getting it all back out and ready to run next month.
matt was pretty frustrated, but he was still really excited after feeling how that motor pulled! lol he never even got a chance to spray it yet either! lol
he said it would've done pretty good just on the motor! :)
hopefully, it'll be all back together for next month's pro mod race! :D
