I have "6.5 speakers in the front doors, do they make a adapter plate so I can change them to 6X9's, and if so where can I buy it? ...Thanx Chris
I THINK i still have my stock altima ones but i might have accidentally broke them into pieces and ground them up into plastic dust.... but it was a while ago so i completely forgot. I'll check my closet to see if they still exist, if i do i'll just give them to you

6x9s in the door has no benefits.
You are putting speakers with the worst quality sound the closest to your head. They arent louder than 6.5" subs, and produce a marginal improvement in midbass when installed next to a set of rounds.
if you wanna fab something in the doors - but some nice 7" midranges in there.

if you wanna fab something in the doors - but some nice 7" midranges in there.I got the infinity 6.5in component set in the front and the 6X9 Infinity 3 way's in the rear, but they are so much louder than the front, and I dont wanna put more speakers up front, so I figured maybe I could balance the sound out a lil by matching the fronts with the rear. Any suggestions?

the rears are louder because they reflect off the rear glass and have an un obstructed path to your head - the door speakers are facing the footwell and has to bounce around a while to get to your head. the extra tweeter doesnt hurt either but putting 6x9s in the door isnt the answer especially in a civic.
solutions: Amp your fronts or buy components and mount the tweeter on the a-pillar to raise the sound stage. You may also want to look into fabricating kickpanel pods that aim the speakers directly at you

Are you giving the components enough power? I'd guess not.

Are you giving the components enough power? I'd guess not.they have plenty of power, If I turn the amp up anymore they will distort, and the amp is at minimal gain, BTW they are the infinity midBass speakers with seperate tweeters

another question I got, is that my radio goes to 35 or 40, but I can only adjust the radio to 25 and thats with the amp turned all the way down(gain) should I lower my max radio level down to about 15 and turn the gains up on the amp, or would that make no difference?

How much is plenty? And are they Kappas or References? Perhaps you need to tune your system. I'm not buying that a pair of full range speakers will outperform a pair of components of similar quality and given the recommended power.

they are references and yes the full range speakers are louder, mainly due to the fact that they are in boxes in my backdeck, but still they are considerably louder

The component set comes with its own crossover's which I am using, but the amp has its own crossover settings what should it be set at HP,LP, or FULL...rt now I have it on HP, should it be on Full?

High pass (HP), you want to cut out the lower bass frequencies and only allow mid bass and highs to go to you speakers. That might be part of the problem too. You have too much bass going to the speakers so they are distorting. And i would say turn the crossover to 110-120 and tune from there. Higher frequency= Less Bass. Hope that helps...

should I tune the amp at a lower radio signal, would that make a difference? Amp gain is at like 10 percent and radio is tuned at 25, the radio goes up to 35

set it to full and see what kind of response u get... rpolly a lot more midbass while sacrificing some volume
