98gt vs G35 coupe

i ran a G35 this morning on the way to taking my roomate to work...

the first run was from a dig.. neither of us really launched..but we hit it about the same time and i just completely lost traction and he pulled about half a car..by about 85-90 i was out one car and we shut down..


the next run was from a 45 roll he took the hit and went out a car and then reeled him back in at about 110 i had half a car and was pulling and he shut down..

well that was my first run with the new car..i dont know what was done to the G only thing i noticed was some kind of exhaust..

Damn I need to get a V8. Those Mustang GTs kick butt. I had a friend who had a bolt ons '95 Stang GT and he destroyed my SR powered 240SX from a roll. Can't imagine how bad I would lose from a dig. I have Mustang GTs rip on my 240SX all the time. The older model 5.0 Mustangs are even faster, I high tail and run when I see those coming up. 4 cylinders can never beat V8s, even boosted, it's sad. Good kill.

Piece of advice...get some springs, better shocks, and upper and lower rear arms. Your traction will increase greatly. Good kill BTW!

12.8 @ 107 w/ the bolted on items.

My Z would make short work of my GT. (not sure how much slower, if at all, the Gs than the Zs)

don't know if you consider that heavily modding.. With just the heads and intakes you'll still be a little slower then 99-04's since PI cams a little more agressive and pre-99's have 2.73's(with the exception of a few '98's getting 3.27's). But yeah I'm talking about pre-99's without engine work or power adders.

You're full of crap, Mustang GTs are 13s cars out of the box. Learn how to drive it and you'll beat all the crappy Hondas and G35s you roll up to.

dude CLEAN sr20 240's are the shit. get some tires and raise the boost. your car is obviously not running right if your only running 15's.

A bone stock G35 coupe is capable of high 13's with an experienced driver. However, "most" G35 owners are either middle aged women or young folks who are still learning to shift. :D

ya i've seen a lot of fast sr20 240's with mild mods.. on low boost... i dont know shit about them so i dont know everything that was done or whatever.. but i know they arent slow..unless you just have no driver mods whatsoever

+1 ive never owned a 240 but you have to put too much money into a 4cyl to make it a bit slower or just a bit faster than a v8 lincoln ls and shit. much better to just take the money and get 4.6 and have a stock car to work with that you can mod to hang with "fast cars"
