You're REALLY not going to want to use an 18" subwoofer with music, its really not going to sound very good at all, it'll hit low as hell but the power requirements and the slowness of the magnet's movements are going to be insane. Much better just going off with two tens or two twelves.

15's and 18's don't sound like shit, if you like that size speaker, go for it, the only downfall to them is that they are really good for the low bass but not so for the mid and high bass.

i already have two 18's, thanks anyways. pm me on how much hes selling it for. there are no downfalls coming from a 15" sub to an 18" sub. if anyone wants to compare, pm me.

i doubt your going to sell anything. maybe tell him what company made the sub, the vc config, and how many watts it can handle. and for the amp, tell him the specs. by 1000 watt id probably say it puts out a max of 300 rms.

i was comparing 15's and 18's to 10's and 12's....going from a 15 to an 18 is the same thing as a 10 to a 12, they just hold more power

The sub is made by MA AUDIO, its a duel voice coil and holds 1000 watts rms. And i have had the amp tested and it puts out a little over 1000 watts They had told me that the amp was one of the best of there day and if i wanted he would trade me a brand new 1000 watt amp for it and i turned him down!!!he told me they made amps better than / than they do now

the size of any woofer doesnt change its power handling.
