Default End Links

Coming home from work last night, caught a bump in the road and came down pretty hard. Heard a pop in the rear. When I got home I found that I had snapped the right end link and bent the left. Mastro is covering the fix. Should the stock end links break this easy? I'm guessing they were probably already bent and stressed before last night, though I don't beat the shit out of the car. I have Progress springs, would that put more stress on the links? In the future if they bend or break again, any suggestions on good after market links?

stock RSB, correct? thats pretty weird that they would break. even with a stiffer RSB, my stock wrx endlinks were fine for 50k miles. i would have imagined the STIs would have been a little stronger.
