that is illegal - you are not looking for anyone in here to modify the video view while driving - that could be dangerous - hey a relay and a switch will do it

Hey i got a question.

I know its illegal to drive with the driver able to see the video display but what if its just a basic menu -- more specifically a list of MP3 songs on the disc?

I'm wondering because i got pulled over on saturday and the cop made sure to mention that and lecture me on it. I told him that the law only prevents video but i want to make sure i'm right.

I don't know the specifics, but I would assume the law only applys to moving video. Otherwise every flip out head unit would be considered illegal.

+1
the newer stock headunits have onscreen menus that you can access while driving.
