i have a 4 gig nano and it wont turn on unless connected to charger. i tried resetting it and everything else. what could this be??

i'm no expert, but if i were a betting man, i'd say your battery is fucked.

the internal battery took a poop - a yearly occurence. Sooner if you use non apple certified charger cables which are rough on the battery.
