well none of them are too huge on the torque numbers...
You can find a 7m easy. Check supramania.com or supraforums.com
theres plenty of parts cars floating around!

I think by now, damn near every MkIII for sale is a parts car
7M's are damn decent on torque numbers. 83mm bore, but 91mm stroke tends to do that...thats why I love them so much...my Supra has more torque at idle than my Miata at 2000 RPM
7M is not "just" a turbo version of the 5M, its a stroked version with a 4v head. Same block essentially, but plenty of differences as one is a 2.8 with 2v per cylinder and the other is a 3.0 with 4v per cylinder.

Umm you wouldn't wanna put a twin turbo on a 7/5mgte setup. Thats just me, I'd go 7mgte all the way, Woot for cheap power!

yea 7M would be cheap power
but 2JZ is ultimate hahahaha if yur wanting big power that is
anyhow good luck with whatever you do

Jesus, how much power? ive seen plenty of 700hp 7m's. The all square 2j is good at making torque considering the stroke, but unless big rpm, and 1k + hp is necessary, i wouldnt worry unless you NEVER want to get into the motor!

EXACTLY THAT
7M anything over 400WHP you better FORGE
why do that when i can make my 600WHP goal with absolutely no problems on a stock bottom end???

So which is it? I'm confused...last I checked, 500RWHP was the limit reliably AND with a good tune for a 7M. Even then the only weak point would be a piston, so just get some decent pistons (8.4:1 still, ceramic coat), shot peen the stock rods, and let'er go! Hell thats what I'll be doing for 500RWTQ

you can get wiseco pistons and shot peened rods and do 500whp
hell a guy did 750 whp in vegas a few years back on stock bottom end but it blew up on the trip home
me myself i wouldn't go over 450 whp with stock internals
and for the love of god use ARP rod cap bolts cause thats the weak link
the stroke of the motor and revving high will stretch out the stock rod bolts and BYE BYE RODS!!!!

Yeah, but dont use the ones for the Eagle rods...they apparently were not set up properlly. I'm not looking for 700+ HP so I dont give a damn about the rods personally, but I'll still get ARP everything.

yea malloynx on SM just blew his 7M
543 on stock rods but wiseco pistons i believe
SP61GT bolt on
i mean they will hold but anything over 400whp i would upgrade the Stock rods on a 7M IMO

It is a twin turbo 5UZ swap........but seriously, I parted out the car. My 89' still, and most likely will remain 7M powered.
