These subs are dual voice. Subs are dual 6 ohms. I was wondering if anyone can help me pick out an amp to run on these

Hmmm, you'll need to match them up with an amp that will run @ 2ohm stable mono. Mable a crossfire, audiobahn, or xtant amp? Whats your budget?

no I need a 1 ohm stable amp not a 2 ohm

The subs are 3ohms per voice coil? Are you sure?

Dual 6 ohm. A friend used to have a pair about 3-4 years ago. Audiobahn did a great job with this one...I have no idea who the hell would use a dual 6 ohm sub.

you use dual 6 ohm subs when you run them in 3's. the jl 12w6's are dual 6 ohm and the audiobahn alum12q's are dual 6 ohm. when you run 3 subs you have to go with dual 6 ohm and there arent too many options in dual 6 ohm. you can go with the jl's for about 450 a sub or the audiobahns for about 150 a sub.

I need a 1 ohm stable amp that is putting out around 3000 watts.

actually, they are dual 6, as your diagram shows. Wired in parallel, that gives 3 ohms. 3 in parallel, gives 1 ohm.

This is a really nice sounding sub, by the way. We had one in our escalade.

Like i said, who's the dumbass now.

Just because they can be wired into 3 ohms, doesn't mean they are dual 3 ohm coils mr. sphincter licker

The old 12 w6's were dual 6 ohms and last time i checked they stopped selling them atleast 2 years ago when the w6v2 came out. And if you thought about paying 450 for the old w6's you deserve to be called an idiot. So good job on the research... :monkspk:

O and if you really wanna argue about it or say me or any one else is wrong then here is a pdf for you to look at JL Audio: Discontinued subs (http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs_pages.php?page_id=15) click on the link scroll down the page and click on the 12w6. It gives you all the information about any of the w6's.
