im driving the other day and im next to a black LT1 vette, older guy. we catch a light and there are cars in front of us. he starts revving at me. i ask him if he would like to do a quick run, he says yes. he tells me he has exhaust and a K&N air filter. he asks how many cylinders i have, i repsond with 4 cylinders. he says "this should be easy" and "there is no possible way that ANY vette can lose to a 4 cylinder" i play along and say "you are prob right" but i ask for a run just to see how i measure up to this super vette. we couldnt do a dig run because of traffic in front of him. we get through traffic and go from a 20mph roll, nice spot for me. i just walk away from him pretty hard. i let off at about 60mph up by a good margin. he catches back up to me and asks to go again. this time we go from about 40mph and same results, just wasnt fair. just raped his vette. we catch a light and he starts giving all these excuses that his tranny fluid is low and normally he drives around on octane boost, today he didnt have any. i offer a run from 30mph and give him the hit. i reel his ass in pretty easily. i never got a chance to talk to him again, he stayed behind me. i think he realizes his vette isnt invincable against 4 cylinders. there are plenty out there that are quicker than mine. the car wasnt much of a kill, the story was more fun :lol:

THis is the classic i have more cyclinders ,so i will beat you syndrome. I beat many 8 cyclinder cars in my lifetime especially in my in my 95' inline-6 M3 the list included LS1 camaros and Vettes some of which had mods. Some people are just ignorant to cars.

PS: If it sounds like a loud V8 it must be fast. NOtRly

for the record:
turbo imports (anything not made in america cause american cars are inferior and slow)rule the world
V8s are never fast and they get 3mpg

not at all. like i said in the original post. its not much of a kill, the story was just so funny. if it wasnt for what he said i wouldnt even have posted the story. i dont really post a story unless its a worthwhile car. i dont have many encounters with those.

I am still waiting for the LS6 swapped Lotus Elise/Miata/S2000 that runs 10's with bolt ons if i had money that is what i would be building right now.
