Good afternoon all. I was thinking about getting involved with Toys For Tots this year. I am pitching the idea to a rep for the charity as we speak. No details or anything yet as i have not received a response yet. i am asking to see if any of you would consider going to a car show where the proceeds go to charity. Maybe like a 10.00 dollar entry fee that would go towards buying toys. I think it would be fun. Please giv em some input guys...thanks;)

Sup man, not bashing, or starting anything, just noticed the reason you were wanting to do it, and what people were posting. Seductive Styles has thrown Tuc-N-Toyz the last two years and it's been a damn good show. My club was out there last year, and I sponsored a raffle through my business, and it turned out to be a huge success, raising over $1500.00 to buy toys and what not to go to the Shriners Hospital kids. They are having it again this year, but unfortunately things didn't work out in time, and didn't mesh for me to be able to do another raffle. But it's still a good show, for a good cause .. might wanna help make it even bigger and better than last year. Here is their post about it: http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/local-events/344214-good-cause.html

There is room to do many shows I was ran into some Marines over the weekend and being a former Marine I decided to help. We discussed ways to raise funds or get toys for the kids. I thought of a car show becuase of the money/toys it can raise. This is not the first one I am involved with. I am glad your crew is working towards the same goal. With that said SSP-LANCER, SILVER DRAGON, DSM-REASON I will keep you guys posted. Thanks for the support guys.

Yeah, no doubt for sure that there is always room for multiple shows and especially charity shows. There are plenty of charities and organizations that can use support, both financially, and labor wise. I plan on getting my club (Simple Pleasurez) together to start doing things like this. Not only should we hit the charity shows up, but we should all do our part to volunteer at these shows with whatever is needed, as well as at different organizations that need helpers all year long. Glad to see you guys are doing this. We are actually thinking of planning a show for 08 that would be something like this. I'll post back up when we have details set in stone. I hang around here and read posts, but rarely post, since I'm more into mini-trucks and draggin ass, and not haulin ass. LOL But I am into the customs scene, no matter what the canvas, and I do run a business and enjoy being able to make money at what I love doing. It was great being able to sponsor the raffle last year at Tuc-N-Toyz. We all had a lot of fun, and people went home with some really kewl prizes.

U know if u think about itcharity wise there are endless possiabilities for doing shows, however time wise not so much...some charities only accept donations sertian parts on the year, and during this time of the year the show season is starting to roll AND the holidays are comming up...its hard enough for some of us to get away from the family duties long enough to go to the major shows this time of year...just a thought if u were planning on doing it this time of year (weahter it be this year or next)....but if/when u throw one let me know ill be more than happy to attend

No doubt guys thanks for such a great response. By the way if this goes through I will be setting up to where every TR/TF entry fee/toy and donation is tracked.

Hey guys I just talked to the contact person for Toys for Tots looks like it will be a go. I will update you guys early next week on the details. Where when how etc. I will be looking businesses to sponsor the event and will have spots (for a samll fee) for vendors. Everything is the works hashing out ideas. The classes will be Best Import, Best Domestic, Best A/V setup, Best Truck/SUV, Best Girl vehicle, People's Choice and Club Participation. all categories except for the last 2 will have 1st,2nd, and 3rd place. With help from you guys this event can be a major success...keep in mind this is tenative. I still don't know if it will happen but chances are good. I also want to set up some sort of raffle. Any ideas are welcome. This is not a one man show. Thanks
