I've got a coolant leak and I'm not sure where it's coming from, I know it's not my upper or lower radiator hoses, they are new. I do know that when I look down into my engine bay, on the pass side, there is an ass load of coolant on my tranny area. But I can't tell what hoses go where. Any ideas?
I tried to find a pressure tester today with no luck, I was gonna see if that would show me where it was leaking.

Might not be of much help but when I had a leak like that where it wasn't the hoses it was coming from my turbo. Check your plastic bottle where the coolant dump is for cracks. That's all I can think of.

I know it's not the resevoir. And I do need to replace the small hose that feeds coolant to the turbo, but this leak is in a different area, like somewhere on the passenger side of the motor.

On the 2g is there coolant lines running through the throttle body like the 1g's? If so check those. Check also the gasket from the thermostat housing to the head. Where the assembly bolts unto the head. It could be that and not a hose. I had this leaking before and it took me a while to figure it out that it was coming from there. Also check your heater hoses. Have you tried having the car running and trying to trace the leak? Since its on the passenger side it would be your water pump and if you had the upper and lower radiator hoses replaced then its not that either.

Okay, I just put some more coolant in, ran the car for like 20 - 25 mins, and I'm not seeing any leaks. WTF
I know it's leaking though, because it sucked some coolant out of the resevoir

How do I know which hoses are which. I'm just going to replace them all, but I'm not sure what to buy at auto zone.
I'm pretty positive the thermostat housing is good.

did you check and see if you were leaking coolant before or after you shut the car off, from your 20 min drive?

before, during and after
Your heater hoses run from your thermostat housing to the firewall. Then you have the lines that run from the bottom of your throttle body to you thermostat housing.
The thermostat housing could be good but what about the gasket from the head to the thermostat housing?

lmao, I already did that, on my other car and it fell apart, jk
I just went and bought all new hoses for everything coolant wise, my heater hose and lower rad hose will be in in 2 days. I'll update after I replace everything, until then, I'll make sure I have about 7 qts of coolant with me at all times.
I would check that gasket though like I've been saying. They've been known to tear and start leaking. Replace the hoses but if it continues then check there.

the gasket from the head to the thermostat housing is good. It has to be the heater hose or the throttle body one, I'm sure of it, but I'm replacing everything to be safe.
Alright cool just keep us updated.
