ok heres the deal, I found some cheap tires and they are 31x10.5x16...I was just wondering how wide is a 10.5 is it like 255??

1 Inch = 2.54 cm.... so 10.5 Inches = 26.67 cm = 266.7 mm

ok cool thank, all right one more question, the rims I have on my truck now are 15x8, so could I use the 31x10.5x16 tire?

one of my friends told me that I could fit a 10.5" wide tire on my 8" rim, he has 12.5" tire on a 10" rim...

Hell, a 12.5" tire will fit on a 8" wheel... it'll just buble out a ton...

........I'm gonna mount my 12.5's on 10's though so the sidewalls don't get torn up on the street

i have my 12.50's on my 8'' wide wheel and it isnt that bubbly at all.. Most Toyota guys prefer it than a 10'' wide wheel because it has less of a chance of falling off the beads while under heavy load..

not to mention my truck looked liek a mexican and rubbed way more with the 10'' wheels

what kind of backspacing do you have? because that's 2.25" of tire hanging over on each side already....

Ive got the type B's
Custom Toyota Wheels from Wheeler's Off-Road (http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/tacomawheels.htm)

and this is how it looks

Just right IMHO and helps protect the wheel

edit, and here's it with the 15x10's

yeah, I looked at those about 2 months ago, but they have 4" backspacing and I wanted around 2.5 to 3... looks nice by the way...
