Radio ?
Anyone ever have a problem with fox mustang stereo setup sounding like shit??
I have a brand new Pioneer head unit and 6 Polk audio speakers in it and I'm really not happy with the way it sounds.
Some one told me to wire all my speakers with my own wire not to use the factory wiring or should i just get an amp to run all my speakers???

I had a car with an Alpine head unit and Polk speakers with the factory speaker wires. It sounded like crap too. Could be something to the factory speaker wires?

mine is alpine head unit i ran all the wires with kenwood speakers,it sounds prety good, you have to get speakers that operate in the rms watt range, that you head unit sends out per chanel,if you get speakers that need more power to run then u gona have to use a amplifier,if you got polk most likely you gona need to run a amp, check the back of the speaker and see how many rms does it operate from,i think averge head unit is like 50 watts per channel so the rms would probably be from 15 to 18 rms watts per channel,go to crutchfield.com it tells you their how that shiznit work,or i can do it for ya...

You do get a noticeable difference when your speakers are connected to an amplifier...however I just put a pioneer headunit and speakers (nothing special at all) with some audiobahn speaker wire and just by being connected to the headunit... a couple hundred dollar speaker system - sounds good for what it is. Sony amp for two soundstream 10's

Your radio sounds really clear and gave me the idea that something was wrong with my wiring. Till you found the amp then i was thinking of adding one. but for now i thing i'm just going to re-wire it

If there is a factory amp behind the factory radio, you can unplug it, and that should solve your problem.
