if its a bare block then its not 540ci and a bare block with what ever bore it is.

witch more then likely it is a 4.500 bore and u will need a 4.25 stroke crank to turn it into a 540.

go on racingjunk.com and look for parts dragula might have some parts maybe that u might need like heads, intake and so on.

i've heard nothing but good about ohio crankshafts so far..

alot of places will have rotating assembleys that u can buy..like jegs, summit, doug herburt, eagle, lunati, scat and so on..

if u say more of what the engine is being built for and how much u want out of it we all could help u more..i can find parts used or new cheap.u also dont have to do a 540ci engine u could go bigger or smaller with the stroke..your bore will probley have to be cleaned and take it to a shop to have them look at it..people dont give them blocks away for free unless your in good with some one and its been sitting or its cracked and need work or so on

11-1 compression find some 990 heads that are ported..look around single plain intake,680 lift cam with like 110 or 108 lobe.950 carb or so. u can do it cheap if u know what your looking for and where to look.
