Default 240 ka timing

how do i check a ka dohc motor to see if the timing is correct. What do the dot or square notches on the cam gears line up to when the crank is at tdc.

Anyone has a copy of the online manual the site is down

And if the time is off how do i go about and correcting the this. i really hope i dont have take the whole cover off to correct the timing.

Does it run? does it just need a fine tune of the ignition timing, or is it the actual engine timing that is off? it won't run if the engine timing is off 95% of the time, it may run rough and a quick twist of the distributor could heal that.
