In light of all the interest in jacking Joe's thread with TN trip talk, here is the new thread.

I am going to look into places to stay in Clev, TN. The reason for Cleveland is because I know a route that takes us throgh the Ocoee river area & hit some twisties before hitting the skyway & then the Dragon...

Please feel free to post what you find as well... I have a truck & can tow 2 bikes on it... if someone has a trailer & could haul that too.

I'll post what I find... prob in the next two days.

Also post how your schedule looks... I would like o hang on to the last week of Vacation I have but am willing to sacrifice 2 days for this... maybe leave Th night & be up there Fri,Sat & Sun... come back on Monday? Just some ideas...

 

i would be in for sure....i have 2 trailers, 1-2bike trailer (nice) and 1-1 bike trailer (pretty nice)...so we could get 4 bikes on your truck with trailer. How many could you ride in your truck along with gear?

i'd like to leave Thur afternoon, get in late, sleep, up early and ride Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning , then head back Sunday afternoon to be to work on Monday. I would be down for a 4 day deal as well though, just hard to be away from the family for 4 days (sorry, im a puss).

I might be down for a trip to the dragon as long as my bike can do it. I've been having some issues. I think its the carbs

It takes about 10 hours to get there, so leaving Thurs afternoon and riding Fri probably wouldnt happen. If we leave Thurs morning we could be there by Thurs night and then ride on Fri.

As long as my bike is working propery I'll drag my kicktand and exhaust all over the Dragon

My buddy just came back from riding it with his Interceptor and said he LOVED it. From how excited he was on the phone, I'd say you all should go. He said it was really really bad ass.

 

Im down to go a ride like this would b fun and memorable ... I have a truck but my insurance got cancelled due 2 tickets... Currently its under my stepdad's insurance...and he said until i get my own full coverage im not driving it (currently has a big chain connected to the left front wheel)... Im pretty sure if I talked 2 my stepdad he would let me or sum1 "older and responsible" drive it up there...lol... and i can fit at least 2 bikes and 3 other ppl comfortably...Its a 2004 quad Cab dodge ram ...

 

hey raul Im the one that origanlly thought of the idea and you damn well know im down for anytime. I also have a 3 bike trailer thats in good condition and im down with the 4 day thing. But we need to see if we can maybe get like a big group discount for hotel you know? its possiable? but we better do this sooooon or its gonna be a little to chilly to ride. but lets toss shit in the air man im down to leave tommorow if it came to that.

Guys... i will be up there next week. I will find out from some of the local hotels in the area I will be in what the rates look like for the end of Oct, Begining of Nov... OK?

Also, I have a Dodge Ram QC. So there is room for 5 of us in it. I am pretty sure I can put 2 bikes on the bed & whatever in the trailer...
