yea 1 eminent in each door which equals 4 altogether. are eminents really loud? i haven't received them yet, my boy has them right now.

they are very loud, at the cost of clarity. They are by their own admittance made purely for output and have no SQ at all. A rep has never told me that before till theirs did :p

Satan has befouled this boy! Take him into the House of Toby next weekend and purify this stricken lad, show what holy quality is like!

That statement alone should be highlighted and emphasized to the 10 millionth power. These are the speakers you see every drug dealer in his impala on 28.56788" rims running. If you're completley tone def, these may be the speakers for you...or you might consider just running a PA system inside your car off your deck, should give you the same results.

A decent 2 or 3 way component system matched with the approriate amp. It's not that hard, you just have to be willing to pay in order to play. Something in the order of 100-135w rms per channel/door should do the trick.

id go with Dayton 6s. In my 93 civic in my garage i had 4 dayton 6s and 2 bullet tweets in each door... loud and not crappy sound... the eminence and daytons make great voice.. but no highs.. like tweeters... but use tweeters to make up for that... and since daytons are only 14.00 on speaker exchange its not that bad on price!!!! u should be able to fit them in the doors with some work. but you are going to have to put a amp on them or they will sound like shit running off the radio!!

Look in my garage here on TR youll see my old door panells

tbspyder-what kind of component system are you talking about and i have either a 600 or 800 watt kenwood amp to run to the inside speakers. and sorry im asking so many ?'s im sort of new to the audio thing and im trying to learn new things.
thatguysstuff-that looked like it was alot of work but i bet it was loud.

You do not need four speakers in your door to be loud. Especially not four crappy ones. Save some money and get one pair of decent speakers and they will be louder and cleaner than 4 or 6 garbage speakers.

components ftw.

directioning and tuning makes most of the quality itself.

+1, might I suggest the Diamond D3 series. $130 crisp sound, blistering highs, and moderate midbass.

I'd get diamonds if i wasnt a polk guy.

I actually like the polk db components quite a bit, but you're going to pay for them just as well. The midbass is sick even from the 5 1/4's, i cant even imagine a 6" or 6 1/2.

Just make sure you put them up right. -Like spend a lot of time sitting in different seats, position the tweeters just where you want them, etc etc. (of course unless you want to focus all the music tuned to the driver's seat which is also ok; everyone has their preferences)

Thats probably my next task, replacing my nice Infinity kappa coaxials and putting in the components, better imaging, pod the bottom woofers and i got myself a near-all polk system with absolutely beautiful imaging.

I've finally gotten out of the "loudness" phase and i'm more into quality than ever before. I can really appreciate the sub's bass. Dalton and I were talking yesterday and now im thinking about tearing the speakers out the stock box and rebuilding either a new box or seperate boxes for the 12's and really fine tune them to spec. among other things..;)

Good luck!

-1 on the eminence speakers, i have them in my guitar cabinet because that is what they are designed for, they sound like ass for anything but mids. get a decent set of components and call it a day
