S14 MAF help...seems simple
I have a S14 KA 5 spd, I have just replaced the clutch and after about a mile of the test drive ( which it ran fine) I noticed it started to miss...then the further I went the worse it got till finally it just doesnt want to idle now..
I put it on a scanner and its coming up with code P100 MAF sensor malfuntion...and its reading NOTHING coming through the MAF.
I replaced the MAF with 4 differant ones and its still reading NOTHING..
The car wont idle at all unless I turn the AC on and it will idle but i cant rev it without it missing BAD...I replaced wires..and plugs...and it just runs RICH.
I can rev it above the 2k mark but I read NO airflow with the OBD checker...
Anyone seen this before...

Have you put a multimeter on the signal wire of the maf to measure what it's actually doing, not necesssarily what the non oem nissan meter unit is saying?

No...Im still working on it...I pulled my friends MAF off his running car and still didnt read anything from the OBD port...can I do a cont. check from MAF to ECU ? which port and color wire?

is it dropping rpm suddenly for a fraction of a second then comes back, and does it repeatedly? and does it accelorate like shit when you try to put any gas on?
thats what i had goin on an i think i had the same numbers coming up on the diagnostics check. but my problem was that a tooth broke off my distributor. make a mark on the distributor and your head and pop that bitch out.

I just wont Idle at all...I have to give it a bit of gas to even keep it running...unless I turn the AC on the it will idle decent but I could not drive it no way...to bad....but I cant find a diagram to do a continuity test...eehh.
all plugs are in??? plugs wires all popped in?/ running on all 4 cylinders??? could be something stupid. you have after market plug wires?? some leak check and see if there is water down in the hole for the plug.... worth a shot

Well, The plug wires were the first things I though...I saw one was popped up a bit..so I went to pull them out and like all the cheap brands the broke apart...I got a set of ACCEL wires and some good plugs...and it still ran like crud...
