Boost leak test??

Anyone done this? I want to do a boost leak test ASAP on my car. I was wondering if somone has already made or has a device to pressurize the system that I can use.

i had one but someone came over and borrowed it, and i haven't seen it since.

Have you ever done it on your car? Everything I read is confusing me. Some threads say to plug the 4 lines off the turbo inlet. Some threads say do not. Some say not to pressurize the crankcase,and yet some say it is ok. Also, some people say that they can't even get the system to pressurize because it all blows out the exhaust. Have you had success doing it?

yeah i had no problems with it. helped me find a few issues with my fmic.

yeah i had a bunch, all my cuplers were leaking and two of my injectors

with a fmic 100% needed. just for piece of mind.

There was actually a thread on Nasioc the other day that this guy said took his car to Kingpin and they found the injectors leaking boost.

not yet. but with him having a tmic i can do it with the small one i have. friday sounds good to me.

NO, Ken does not have one. KAX has it, I pmd him to see if I can get it from him. I will make one tomorrow if KAX is MIA, it will work with TMIC or FMIC. What Ken is saying is that his compressor will be good enough to pressurize a TMIC system and might not be enough for the FMIC setup

all i did was made one out of couplers with a vac line ,coupler end goes onto the intake pipe and the other vac line went towards a compressor.

i PM'ed you back Im Slow. never got a follow up from you as to whether or not you needed me to ship it. I just havent been back to tampa since i borrowed it from Fat Angel, so I apologize for that. Also, your thing broke Angel, the valve stem got pushed into the tube. I tried fixing it but it never seemed to be strong enough. Did you do anything to the inside to hold it? Theres liquid gasket on there now, and its sturdy, but i bet putting force on it with a compressor will lead to the same result.

the device will, it's just that you need more pressure to pressurize the system when you have the big ass fmic. I don't have an air compressor. I am going to just get a tank of compressed air from walmart and use it .

Idk when Ill be coming back to tampa, erick. Ive got car show stuff going on almost all month, stuff in Cocoa this weekend, parties next, ucf show the following and then going to SEMA at the end of October. Probably wont be until thanksgiving that ill be back in town. I still want to see how your car likes the EWG.
