anybody ever have a TPS issues? (95 accord)

Default anybody ever have a TPS issues? (95 accord)

I am trying to replace the throttle positiong sensor in my 95 accord, and i cant buy a new one anywhere except the honda stealership and all the have is the whole throttle body assembly for $787!!!!!!!!

should i just find a used one at a junk yard?

You can use any tps sensor from almost any obd0/obd1/obd2a/b honda.

Before replacing the sensor I would first make sure it is bad by using a multi-meter to test it.

The tps sensor appears to be rivited on, but its actually threaded.

If you have the proper plyers such as knipex plyers, you can actually get the rivets out. Otherwise, simply use a dremel to make notches to use a flat head screw driver.
