Whos is up for NASA@Sebring Oct 14-15

There is a NASA-TT/HPDE event at sebring oct 14-15. I have never run at Sebring and will be doing the two day HPDE. There are also doing single day for less money. Anyone else interested?

Spots fill up quick for HPDE 1/2 w/instructor.

Im going to be there with the hatch! Most likely will be doing the 2 days of just hpde 1 since ive never been to a track day before. I saw they have a HUGE discount on the 2 day hpde-2 and up class, wish it were for hpde-1 also...it gets kinda expensive! haha! hope to see more of you out there to represent Tampa!

OH and for you Honda lovers, honda challenge will be going during the weekend also! sorry for all the ranting, but if anyone wants to cruise down together on the friday before the event let me know, me and two of my other friends are going to be driving to the event and racing you welcome to join us!

I think they are doing NASA Time Trial too.

Yeah, I did the two day HPDE because of the price. You dont have to feel as pressed to squeez out every last minute of every session that way which is easier on your car.

I should be a blast. For anyone that has never done an HPDE, its not only fun, but you learn a lot. Its like going to a driving school for a fraction of the price. Also, you are only as hard on your car as you want to be.

Would be cool to get a good group of people

Unfor not in the budget at this time. The Azeni's are basically shot as it is, I just need them to make it through the rest of the autox season.

A guy from the del sol board did this a couple months back and felt it was well worth it.

Probably true, however two things to consider. More is not always better. I like adequate time to let my car heal, and it is less wear on tires, brakes, etc. As long as its enough time, thats all that matters. Also, I am trying to work my way up to NASA TT and you have to go up through the ranks at NASA to do that. I also have the NASA membership and dont feel like paying mroe for the chin for a couple chin events a year that I would do.

If all you want is lots of track time in FL, chin is probably better

I've done a HPDE with NASA before with my dad at VIR when i lived in north carolina. It was the best experience ive ever had. I usually auto-x but havent done it yet down here. i wish i had the money to do the HPDE and pass Firebirds and Camaros again and keep up with the faster cars in the turns.

VIR is simply one of the nicest courses there. My boss is doing one there in october

VIR full course is awsome, i love the "no lift" uphill S's. i've also been to summit point it was fun too.

I also enjoyed Carolina Motorsports Park. Such a low penalty course with lots of run off. Great for building confidence

I hope to run at VIR sometime next year.

Ok, just signed up for both days....... you guys that are going..... are you staying overnight Saturday night? Looks like hotels are around 65-75/night and it's only a shade under 2hr drive for me.

I am staying at the chateau elan saturday night. Bit more expensive, but very nice and at the track.

Yes, you can run on the sebring 12 hour course. The one day HPDE 1 with instructor is something like 270. Worth every penny



Looks like tha Saabaru needs to get in some miles....all you need is 1000 and an oil change.

I finally got the money from my parents(b-day present) to sign up for the HPDE at Sebring next month and everything is a go! I cant wait!
