Default FMIC and AC...

I have heard some issues with running AC with a front mount...

Here is my setup..

s13.
redtop s13 @ 10psi with supporting mods.

If I was to get a FMIC, how realisitc would it be that the car would run too hot mid day in FL sun?

it really doesnt block THAT much air flow. you could run a huge intercooler, a/c, and still never run hot on a stock radiator. if you want the extra security, then buy a koyo and some flexalites...

I'm running an s14 sr @ 18psi with an FMIC and the dual FAL fans and since installing the FALs I've never had any issues with overheating even on the hottest days. Those things move some serious air!

flexalites or stock clutch fan are a must. the generic or imperial fans will give you cooling problems even if you have a koyo rad, quality fans are a must. I have ac, FMIC, koyo, with FAL fans, on my 35r setup with no problems.

get a better sidemount [1g dsm, or the stillen/nismo sized sidemount (if goals are under 350hp) recirc the bov and tell everyone it's N/A. You will love making fast cars feel slow

I have a/c, fluidyne and an apexi front mount and have never had overheating issues and my car is driven flat out at Sebring for 20 - 30 minutes at a time.

i doubt he did either. a/c cuts off at WOT anyways, or should.

aggressive driving/track/"racing" = a/c off

any other time = a/c on...should be fine. just make sure your cooling system is working right.

ps - oem fan setup FTW!
