ok, now that i have a real job, and no girlfriend:D i have some money to play around with. i want to convert my full bumper to a split. i DO NOT want the whole r.s. front end. i want to keep the standard front and slap on the r.s. split bumpers. does anyone know like a parts list of what i'll need? they guys at n.p.d. werent really sure exactly what i would need, so now i come here for help. btw, i have most of my suspension parts sitting in my room, yes i know, in a box, in my bedroom lol. but for bolt on, with subframe connectors, what would be best suited for bolt ons? traction bars, llift bars, or ladder bars? i've found all bolt on, but what is the best bang for the buck. thanks!

if your looking for traction bars..go with a cal tracs system..they by fair are the best and if u go to the stock suspension races u will see that almost all of the old muscle cars are using them..u might have to weld something on for them i'm not sure..but i would weld the subframe connectors on also.
as for the front bumper wouldn't just the bumpers off a older rs work..u might have to change the grill to..i've never looked at the solid bumpers up close before

i had a split bumper 70 camaro long ago but can't remember how it wa bolted on.
i've got caltrac's and there is no welding. but you do need to take off your springs and have the front eye bushing pressed out to bolt on the caltracs. but there 300 bucks. i think lakewood makes a copy of them now.

I would think the bumpers woudl fit, but you might have to modify the front for extra bolts?

ok, do you think that my competition engineering bolt on subframe connectors would interfere with those caltracs traction bars?cause if im looking correctly at the frame connectors, they bolt up under neath the front spring perch, and looking at those caltrac bars that use the front eyelit, im not too sure it will fit. any suggestions? and i cant cut the floor pan, still a daily driver lol.

I used to have a 73 Camaro like yours. Wish I still had it..Doh!! I also put split bumpers on it.
Step 1. Remove big bumper.
Step 2. Bolt on Split Bumpers.
No modifications required!!!!!
