Dropped off the LS late yesterday to Audio Itch to have them install my Pioneer Avic-D2 in my 2000 Lincoln LS. A custom dash kit had to be made to fit the screen and must say that I am VERY pleased with the work that was done. The price was one of the better I could find for the installation and custom making of the dash kit.

Thanks to Audio Itch!!!

Also, thank you Toby (TJElite) for modding the unit to use the navigation while in motion! And on with the pics!

Loving it so far. Now I just need to add the dvd player in the glovebox or possibly have one molded into my center console. Any other questions about it, feel free to ask.

external dvd/TV tuner ftw!

The D series is kind of a strange line...the N series plays DVD's, as does the Z1. When I first saw the D1 at CES a couple years ago, Pioneer's answer was that it was designed to be a fleet/taxi type piece, and that's why DVD viewing wasn't included. I doubt that will ever change, especially with the Z series being out.

You can run the pioneer IP bus TV tuner to the D1,2, or 3...and its one of the best tuners out there. For DVD's, I use a 6 disc DVD/CD changer.

Patrick, check your PM.
I sent you a link to a rebate that gives you $200.00 back on the installation.
I hope it helps.
