You blew off our last recommendations. :)
Axxis Ultimates are good pads, fairly inexpensive. At least for a Miata.
They dust a fair amount, but they don't chew up rotors like a more "race-oriented" pad.

I really Like the quality of the endless stuff. Just worlds beyond anything else. Cheap, not. but even the backing plates are works of art.

I've heard good things about Porterfeild pads, especially the RS-4 variant.

Hawk HP+'s are good, but maybe money. Not sure what kind of car you have, but if it's a Nissan, although you don't like OEM pads, OEM Nissan pads are great, but only if you have a Nissan, haha. On the cheap, maybe some Performance Friction pads from Autozone....I've always had good luck with beating the crap outta them when they're cold and them still biting great.
Axxis Ultimates are the best autocross pads I have tried. Initial bite is insane. I have Autozone Performance Friction now and they suck, feels like OEM or worse.

the new formulation of the EBC Red stuffs. There have been some good reviews about there performance on the street and the track.

screw ebc, i've heard too many bad reviews & the red's are more oriented towards track days right? this subaru doesn't run track days unless you count I-75:lol:
loren i don't think i ever said what i bought as far as tires are concerned;)
so looks like i'll go with the ultimates again does anyone know of anywhere locally i can get 'em or anything else in that price range? i overslept today & most places i know of are closed right now.

I'm not sure about locally, but I got mine from Body Kits, Ground Effects and Aftermarket Performance Parts for Import and Domestic Sport Compact Cars (http://www.sportcompactonly.com)

Carbotech Bobcats are just about the ultimate street + autocross pad, IMO.

Happy with the Hawks. Switched to Synthetic brake Fluid and added steel braided lines. So far, everything has worked great!
Hawks make WAYYYY less dust than the OEMs too. I'd reccommend them.

thanks for the link but i already found 'em for $75 for all 4 corners! i had planned on going with some bobcats but i can't quite afford 'em, best prices i found for 'em were like $200 & $75 is quite a bit less...
hawks should dust alot more than oem ;)

Nice princing, as I recall, OEM front pads alone for that car are nearly $70.

 still can't believe you ran oem's on that pig! yeah, all corners were cheaper than just the front for pretty much any other pad & i'm sure there's a reason but oh well!

I was pretty happy with the hawk HP+ pads on the Cobra. They needed just a touch of heat in them to work well (drag your foot on the way out of the neighborhood) and I didn't have any heat fade issues like with the OEM pads. They were a bit harder on the rotors than the OEM pads, but that's to be expected with the increase in stopping power. I wouldn't use anything much more agressive if you're doing any street driving. (certainly not porterfield R4's).
These days, I'm using Wilwood BP-10 pads and am VERY happy with them, but I doubt they're available for your calipers.

I would recommend nothign for auto-x but HP+, since they are ment to be a track pad for the street.
