anyone who has been deployed to Iraq
I need to talk to anyone who has been recently been deployed to Iraq,
(I understand its not car related but I hate TF and the general chat area is all ricer and kids)
I am thinking of returning to the Army there are alot of reasons why I shouldnt(newly married, have a 9month old baby,I'm Old etc)
since they just raised the age to 41 Its possible.
I just feel kinda like Its what needs to be done. looking to see what has changed since I Left and a few other things. please pm me

The ONLY reason I have not re-enlisted is because of my wife and son. I don't want to be away from them nor do I want to take a chance on never seeing my son again.... because some cockroach killed me with a roadside bomb.

dan, dont even bother bro, it will kill you just to go through a refresher without seeing your family. let alone 18 months in country. you have a new responsibility of being there for your family, i know how youre feeling right now, ive been there, and reupped, and then realized my family is my number one priority. and i dont give a shit if a tank rolls down florida ave, i aint reupping again, ill stand fast at the house WITH my family, call me if you want

just kinda feel bad seeing 18 year old kids with no chance of survival going into harms way when I have a better chance at survival because of my experience and training. one of the reasons I want to reup is because of my daughter, want her to grow up in a world rid of this crap, If nailing one of those godless bastards over there keeps them from coming here or anywhere then Its worth it, Not thinking about Iraq so much but for Afghanistan Syria or Iran(coming soon) If I go I feel it can help more than one father to see their families. not just mine. really frustrated sitting on the sidelines when I feel I could do some good back in ops.

I just got back not to long ago. Thinking about joining back up to the Army? There doing a year deployment cycle over there. To me thats a long time to be away from your child and wife. A year is missing alot. I would really think about it before making any permanent decisions. My wife and I are holding off until i EAS to have kids because of the way the deployment cycles are going as of right now. Good luck though. If you have any ?s just PM me. Jay
