battery relocation kit questions
Taylor box here as well, I only bought the box, get some 1/0 welding cable for the power wire, because its nice and flexible. The Optima battery hold downs look nice as well.

Actually in my Golf I have a Jegs box. Its kind of cool, the lid is held on with flip latches.
But I hope I got a dud as far as the hardware goes, because only one hold down stud was the right size, the other was smaller than 1/4-20. And none of the nuts in the pack matched the studs?!
The Taylor lid is held down by the two studs that hold the battery in place. It has a pair of nuts that hold the battery down, then another pair that hold the lid on.
1/0 is a bit overkill. I usually use 2ga. There is a surplus place up here that sells Streetwires and similar stuff for cheaper than butying wire from the welding supply.

I went the cheap bastard way, and have the black plastic boat battery box (9-10$)....

but unless you enclose the entire trunk with sheet metal 100%, its technically not IHRA/NHRA legal.
I dont know if that matters though. Back when I used to take my pinto to DeSoto I just had the battery laying in the spare tire well(hatchback). Didnt even had a tie down, it just slid around the well

I went to the marine store and bought a boat battery box and X-amount of 2ga power and ground wire to suit my application. batt box came with a pull strap to tie down the box. was actually very secure
