Me and the girlfriend had a great time aswell..Sucks for that steve..Is his ic shot? He hit it pretty hard..I watched him do it..I was worried cause like two other people went and he was still sitting there..I thought he was gonna get rear-ended. Great event though..I havent been to an event since DDay 1..Everyone was really good at this one..Everyone's skill level has gone way up.

good times! alot of good sliding going on out there. Poor Steve-o he has had the car for only 4 days now running. He broke the IC, head light, battery, and banged in his oil pan enough to break the oil pickup. Shitty to see a great event end on that note. I am getting some pics up now.

This is why ovals are so much better for drifting. No light poles in the middle to hit

Holy crap you are a moron...

Steve was ending his run and went to dodge a cone while still a little hot after the stop gate. He hopped a parking stop and took out two handicapped spot signs (we think that one was down already). The event manager for the venue didn't seem too upset about it, though. :dunno:

For the people who can't read or like to spread false rumors:
No poles, people or walls were hit.

no steve was towed to orlando Rob's house i believe, and he was there at 530 when i left and probalby didnt get the tow til at least 7 i'd think.

he did take both handicap signs down though, i think i was one of the only or very few that was watching him do it all (most were focused on the next driver who started his lap).

hmmm... oh well. looked just like the one in the pics. heading home sunday on a flat bed tow truck.

i was thinking damn that had to cost a lot.

so why did he hit the signs? just didn't see them or something?

mike said he'll know tomorrow or so if they're invited back to the OCC lol (orange co. convention center). hopefully yes, though next time let's do it up in the big lot.

steve, stayed in it past the "end" cones, which i saw and thought oh no hes going to crash, but it was mostly he went to dodge some cones that had been knocked into the exit lane and was still going pretty fast. that exit lane wasnt very wide, he had no where to go.

that sucks...

anyways, that event looked like a lot of fun and if we had something like that going on more often i'd so build something to go look like a fool trying to drift in.

+1, is good idea... wait till u start spinning in 3rd knowing you have 100 ft+ before you stop sometimes. good luck tho, once you get it under control, its like you could be sleeping when u drive...
