i hit a curb and bent the lower control arm, broke the tc rod, and bent the tie rod, on the passenger side, i replaced the tie rods with some tein tie rods and replaced the lower control arm and tc rod with stock replacements, and i just had the alignment done and the guy said the car has no camber adjustments on the front, i dont know if hes talkin about just my car or all 240's, he said the passenger side had negative 6 degree camber i think, and the driver side had 7.6 degree, so its ganna pull to the right, and he cant fix that, what else could it have bent thats keepint the camber from being adjusted?

all stock 240 suspension would be included, possible bent/ stressed your shock to create the added angle. but im not big on suspension tuning so this is a semi-educated guess .

ive swaped the suspension with stock shock and lowering springs, it had stock suspension when i hit the curb tho

either your shock is bent or you bent the crossmember. if the crossmember is bent odds are the frame went with it good luck.

possibly bent the upper mount in the shock tower? or what he said ^^.... something is prolly bent, but you can prolly live with it for now atleast. drive up to a random body shop and ask them to just glance at it, most people like to help others, if they say no, try another.

If you replaced that much, and your camber is still off by that much, id check your frame.

My friend went through this before in his S13, thank god his frame was okay.

when i swaped the suspension out i noticed the crossmember, where the suspension bolts up to was bent so im gonna buy some camberplates or mabey coilovers!! yeeeeeee! thanks

but do you guys know anyone who does alignment that knows about imports?? cause i took my car to bob lee's and ya my cars not a truck so he didnt know what he was doin

well if your -6 degrees of camber and the sheetmetal that the crossmember is bolted to is bent you have 2 options.

1) take everything off of that car and part out the rest and get a new shell (best option)

2) get the frame fixed but since the metal has been tweaked the strength of the metal will be much less (next accident will be much worse, or chassis flex when auto x-ing or drifting will be bad and cause instability)

It seems like your ignoring the real problems that could lie underneath the obvious problems.

I'd also rethink your whole car situation at the moment. Why wouldn't you take your car to a specialty shop? Of course they know.

Hooray for an honest, helpful answer!!! I wish I were as coo as you!:(

6 deg and 7.6? first off it shouldent even be anywhere near that much camber..maybe 2 deg maxxxx even if its got lowering springs. there is no real camber adjustment b
buttttt where the strut bracket bolts to the spindle you should have a tiny bit of play there loosen the top bolt and then the bottom bolt a small amount and then pull on the top of the wheel retighten bolts and check .. and if you need more adjustment you can pull the strut off and slot the top bolt hole on the strut to gain a little more adjustment but then you get into needing eccentric bolts and welding stops for them on the strut body .. its just way more to deal with than you prolly have time for

well what if i just buy some camber plates and get the alignment done again at a specialty shop? i mean i drift it but not 70 mile an hour D1 drifts, and i grip race a lil bit but dont you think that after i put to camberplates on it will be a problem?

shock towers are REALLY easy to bend. that would add negative camber. if you were to bend the cross member, then that would add more postive camber.

so try and bend it back? and put on camber plates?

If you just buy camberplates your car is still messed up. You are driving some that is tweaked, your car will pull to one side. If you get the camber plates it will fix your camber problem, but your car will be ghetto rig to the max. I suggest either getting your frame looked at and/or fix the frame. If you dont want to do that.......

Buy a new shell and start over....Watch out for curbs.

Like mentioned before, if you accomplish this, you'll only be digging your hole deeper, as it will become weaker. The next time you hit a curb, you run a high risk of snapping your frame.

If you have the money to buy coilovers, why dont you just buy a shell instead, and not run the risk of running into future problems.

lol ya, thanks, im ganna try n' stay away from curbs, but i think im ganna replace the subframe, id rather not buy a new shell and start from scratch
