It's about time for y'all to clean the sand out of your pussy's and quit bitching at each other like little girls at the playground. I try to allow as much as possible slide in here, and maybe I assume too much that everyone can be mature and somewhat respectful (when applicable). Unfortunatley, alot of what has been going on in here latley just makes the AHQ Forum, as well as yourselves, look extremely bad. I have no problem with arguing, this is the internet after all, but atleast back up your mouth with facts and/or valid points.

As always, personal issues should be taken to Private Messages. Lets all try to turn this place around and once again be an informative place for newbies and vetrans alike. Lets show newcomers they are welcome here. This place has the potential to be a massive forum, full of ideas, reviews, helpful tips, and debates...but I feel as though many people simply don't post up anything in fear of their heads being immediatley bitten off. Save the bickering and tastless criticism for any other forum but here, otherwise you're going to see ALOT more locked threads and suspended users. Please note, this goes for EVERYONE. I've been into cars and car audio long enough to spot a shit talker from a mile away. Yeah, it may be fun to watch some clown make smart ass remarks on here and then show up to a meet in some beater and lay down 128dbs, but when bickering starts to interfere with the overall reputation of the forum, which subsequently turns new users (as well as old) away...it won't be tolerated. This is simply a formal warning for everyone that all future bullshit will result in locked threads and/or suspended users, no questions asked. If you have a problem with it, feel free to take your business to one of the many thousand other car audio websites out there.

The way I see it, there is clean, fun, trash talking, and there is good, constructive critisim. On the other hand, there is useless BS, personal attacks, and unsolicited, unwarrented, bullying.

The former should be tolerated and uncensored. The latter, has no place on a public forum, and just makes all of us, not just the poster, lose credibility, and look stupid.

I haven't met anyone on here who isn't smart enough to know the difference. Its really just a matter of character and restraint. So far, we haven't had any issues at a meet, so it would seem that everyone has character and restraint when they want to.

So, its just a question of do we want this to be a respected forum, that polices itself and has lots of quality users, where people come for information, socialization, and the occasional 'smackdown'? Or do we want a forum full of locked and deleted threads, with no one left but a couple of forum trolls, who have to keep changing their user id's to get around being banned, so they can sit behind a PC and take shots at anyone stupid enough to come in?

If we go with the first option, we can one day be like carsound.com, or one of the other respected audio forums. If we go with option 2, well, that's kind of self explanatory.

Unlike the other forums here on TR, this one seems to be anchored by a good core of users, who have talents and thoughts to offer. This is a great base to grow on. John also seems to be a good moderator...he keeps the reigns fairly loose, knows and enjoys the hobby, and contibutes as any other user. Once in a while, he has to hammer someone, but not very often. If we control ourselves, and police the board, he won't have to do it at all. When someone comes on here, talking out of his or her ass, and a couple of purposeful posts don't make them go away, just ignore him or her. We should let anyone and everyone who abuses this board know that they are not welcome here.

At least two of the guys at the last meet had never heard of TR before. They found out about the meet through other channels, and joined TR to get details. I think the impression that they got from the meet was a good one, and exactly the same impression they should get from this board. Its the same people in both places, so why shouldn't this be the case?

Maybe if you would learn to read threads you would see that I've yet to single anyone out. For the THIRD time now, this warning applies to ANYONE and EVERYONE who participates in the AHQ Forum. Interesting you feel this thread pertains to you though, perhaps an unconscious admission of guilt?

There's really no discussion to be had over the subject. Like I said, if you, Dalton, Ronald McDonald, or anyone else have a problem with it, take a hike. There's a thousand other audio sites out there for you to troll.
