View Full Version : 93 240sx TOTAL noob REBUILD

Well I acquired a 93 240sx. Has a ka24e motor in it (i dont know why they swapped in a ka24e) Engine is supposedly running but the wiring is all messed up. If I cant fix the wiring within a week (I have no idea what to do) I'm gonna go ahead and do the rebuild...
I need yalls input on this. I'm a total car noob but I have all the time in the world (heh 2 years before I get kicked out the house) and a pretty good income to cover it.
Heres where I'm sitting at right now.

Post this in nissan tech....the guy that had a rebuild thread had it because he is doing a track car rebuild not just a basic 240 rebuild

I suggest you Contact Taylor (aka Wiring God) I'm sure he can either fix what god aweful mess you've shown us, or get you another harness for a reasonable fee.
Look him up - Taylor Durden

Saying every "drifter" on the Drifting section of TR drives a 240 isn't far from the truth

and jake when the brakets dont line up its kinda hard to chnage from a stock radiator to an older stock that should have been a straight swap

new ka + your coupe = maybe 1700-1800.
your guesstimate = roughly 19,747,721,970.00.
Your way off-base, and slightly bloated on your figures, but whatevers clever.

I'm planning to do an sr20 swap and im pretty confident about the mechanical part of it. However just studying about the electrical is giving me a headache. How much do you guys think a full electrical job would cost?
oh and nice thread jacking guys...

keep that bish, don't sell it. you've already said you have all the time in the world and the income to finance it, so you can't go wrong. Get taylor to help ya out with the wiring, strip that bish down and make a mean track car out of it. good luck whatever you decide to do!
