I need Help!

So the past couple days I've been working on my new fmic. Now that its in, I had to take off my bov, because the stock pipe that the bov was attached to, was too small. so now I have to have one of my new pipes retrofitted for the bov. Now comes the problem. It seems that I'm getting chargeback...Is that because the bov was taken off? Any feed back would be much appreciated. Thanks Guys.

chris its called compressor surge....its NOT a good thing to be running a turbo without a bov to release the backpressure...

pretty much what you are hearing is the sound of air going BACKWARDS into the turbo when you let off....and causing the impellar to quickly change directions the wrong way.... a decent amount of this will easily kill any turbo.

do you have an aftermarket bov or are you trying to retrofit the stock one on? if you need an aftermarket bov i have a greddy typs S for sale all youd have to do is get the flange welded onto the pipe and youre good to go.

also sorry about not picking up my phone lately...ive been insanely busy and trying to get things done especially bills car since i only have about a week before the meet.

ill give you a call tomorrow sometime and maybe we can get those knock sensors done since denny finally pulled them off the car.

Theres no need, I believe I killed the turbo...so...yea...I'll be in the market for a new turbo.

Yeah, Tomorrow I'm going shopping for a new one now...I guess its not THAT bad...but I'm spending money I really didn't want to.

damn man that sucks. I remember when i was driving it from my gf's house and the intercooler piping came off lol it was smoking black i was like "oh shit! i broke it!" lol good luck getting a new turbo
