Default LT1 People... What issues to be aware of?

I'm doing an LT1 conversion in my 88 s10

Other than the optispark, being the most common issue, are there any other things i should watch out for as far as common problems?

It's getting the LT4 top end put on it as well

optispark issues are overrated honestly, I've had my car in like 1 a foot of mud before and the opti kept working perfect, plus I've driven through flooded streets lol

He's just putting an LT1 in his S-10, so his main problem will be traction! LOL

Issues you can face with that motor are the Opti, as stated already, the waterpump leaking, and the intake manifold oil leak. My weatherpack connectors at the coil and ignition module also went bad. Aside from that the motor is pretty reliable.

The GM Performance Parts LT4 top-end conversion is not being produced anymore so get yours while supplies last.

Im going to do the hot cam primarily... and the intake manifold, everything else (heads and etc) will be port matched and be able to run the same specs.
